Vaccines: Myths & Misconceptions

"Vaccines don't work"

According to the World Health Organization, vaccines currently prevent 2-3 million deaths every year from diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, influenza and measles.

"Vaccines are dangerous"

Vaccines are put through extensive testing before they become available to the public. After receiving FDA approval, they are continuously monitored to ensure safety.

"Vaccines make you sick"

A vaccine does not contain the virus and will not make you sick. A vaccine creates Immune Response Cells that prevent the virus from entering a healthy cell.
